INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Police said two cars were involved in a fatal crash in Indianapolis Monday evening, according to a report by WTHR.
Investigators said a Ford and a Chevy collided on East Washington Street near South Franklin Road on the city’s far east side at about 6:30 p.m.
The driver of the Chevy was going west on East Washington and was trying to make a turn when the vehicle was struck by the Ford as it headed eastbound, police said. The woman driving the Chevy was killed and a passenger in her car was critically injured.
The driver and passenger of the Ford were in stable condition with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Police are continuing to investigate the accident, and added that speed may have been a contributing factor.
