News: Driver injured in crash involving semi and Jeep in Hancock County

HANCOCK COUNTY, IN – Police and rescue crews responded to the scene of a collision involving a semi and a sport utility vehicle in Hancock County on Thursday.

According to WXIN, the vehicles crashed in the area of East 86th Street/County Road 900 North and Carroll Road/County Road 700 West in West McCordsville.

A Jeep Wrangler SUV headed east on County Road 900 North and a northbound semi on County Road 700 collided at an intersection where there was a four-way stop, investigators said.

The Jeep ended up being pinned under the trailer of the truck.  First responders extricated the driver of the SUV, who was hospitalized in stable condition in Indianapolis.  The driver of the truck was not injured in the wreck.
