CARMEL, IN – Police said a car slammed into an apartment building in Carmel Friday morning, sending the driver to the hospital.
According to a report by WISH, police responded to the Olivia on Main building on the corner of Main Street and Old Meridian after the incident was reported at about 5:19 a.m.
Officers determined that a driver was going east on Main Street, lost control of their vehicle, and crashed into the building. No details were immediately available on the injured person’s condition.
The wreck was reported to have caused substantial damage to the car and the building. Police shut down Main Street in both directions while the scene was being cleared and investigated.
