News: Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle in far west Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – A man was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a vehicle while walking in Indianapolis’ far west side, WRTV reports.

Police say the incident occurred shortly before noon in the 8000 block of West Washington Street, near the intersection with Hamblen West Drive.

The man, whose identity is unclear at this time, was rusehd to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The driver of the minivan involved in the fatal west-side collision remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
