INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Police in Indianapolis said a scooter rider was injured in a hit-and-run incident that took place early Thursday morning, WTHR reported.
A man was riding a scooter on Rockville Road near Girls School Road sometime before 5:45 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle, according to investigators. The victim was seriously injured and was transported to an area hospital.
The driver involved left the scene of the crash and is now being sought by Indianapolis police.
Lanes were shut down near the scene as part of the accident investigation.
